Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position serves as Police Officer at Pine Bluff Arsenal in Pine Bluff Arkansas. Responsibilities Perform law enforcement duties to maintain security, peace, and safety of the installation. Investigate situations or conditions to assess and resolve problems or violations of law. Control access to sensitive or restricted areas to avoid potential for breach of security, public safety or public health. Regulate or restrict traffic flow to protect personal and enforce post regulations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Maintaining law and order to protect life and property; 2. Vetting visitors for access to controlled areas; 3. Patrolling assigned areas address security breaches or respond to incidents; and 4. Motor vehicle law enforcement including directing traffic and issuing citations for violations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06) Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
