Salary Range: $18.25 To $18.75 Hourly
Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Hours: 9AM - Done (Monday - Friday)
Immediate Supervisor: Sanitation Lead
Summary: The Sanitation Worker performs all activities involved with preparing equipment and products for the upcoming production day ensuring quality, cleanliness and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Prepare equipment and production rooms for the blending of finished products.
+ Maintain a thorough understanding of chemical usage and associated safety protocols.
+ Perform all functions of the manufacturing process in accordance with established production standards.
+ Adhere to operation procedures and accurately complete required documentation.
+ Follow GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), quality control, cleaning and sanitation procedures.
+ Ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
+ Accurately record production counts and ensure proper operation of equipment.
+ Report any non-compliant, defective or sub-standard products to the supervisor immediately.
+ Assist in other areas of the plant as needed.
+ Communicate daily tasks and assignments to sanitation workers.
+ Assist with cleanup and sanitation responsibilities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Minimum high school diploma or equivalent skills by experience.
+ Must be able to read, interpret and understand written and oral directions.
+ Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies.
+ Basic math skills including the ability to calculate production yields and understand weights and measurements.
+ Must be able to verbally communicate and understand the English language.
+ Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends when needed.
+ Must be a team player and capable of working directly with others.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee is required to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms on a repetitive basis. The employee must be able to push, pull, and move pallets up to 100 pounds. The employee must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds. Requires visual acuity to review written documentations; ability to hear and understand speech. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. There is exposure to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electricity, and exposure to heat/cold temperature changes.
