A leading healthcare organization in the Coastal Bend region is seeking an experienced **Manager of Labor & Delivery (RN)** to oversee a high-volume, comprehensive women’s services unit. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team and ensure exceptional, patient-centered care across multiple obstetric care areas.
About the Role
The L&D Nurse Manager provides operational and clinical leadership across a 19-bed Labor unit, 5-bed OBED, and 3 surgical suites. This leader is responsible for staffing, workflow, quality initiatives, and ensuring compliance with nursing standards. The role also includes rotating on-call oversight for Postpartum, Antepartum, and Labor & Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
+ Ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care within the L&D department
+ Oversee daily operations, staffing, and resource allocation
+ Monitor and evaluate clinical care delivery and maintain compliance with policies and standards
+ Lead, mentor, and support a team of 80 FTEs across L&D and related care areas
+ Promote continuous improvement and accountability for clinical outcomes
+ Serve as a resource for clinical practice, education, and patient care issues
+ Collaborate closely with hospital leadership to meet departmental and organizational goals
Qualifications
+ **1+ year of recent (within last year) Labor & Delivery leadership experience – Required**
+ Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma – Required
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred
+ Current RN license (Texas or compact eligible)
+ Strong clinical background in women’s services preferred

**Pay Details:** $36.43 to $50.00 per hour
