    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position works collaboratively with operations to provide routine route optimizations, support route updates, manage existing routes within a route management system and develops routes needed for special projects. This position will perform all necessary duties of various Logistics positions at a high level to meet Logistics department needs and the needs of our clients and may be responsible for a technical and/or administrative area of focus.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS

    Job involves frequent communication in person, by phone or radio, and in writing, driving a car for long periods of time and making frequent stops for pickup and delivery. Ability to lift, push and carry up to 50 pounds.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    + Route Optimization

    + Organizing, prioritizing, assigning, and monitoring work

    + Principles and applications of critical thinking and analysis.

    + Project management and Customer service principles.

    + Lean experience.

    + Logistics software implementation.

    + Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple projects.

    + Demonstrated analytical skills.

    + Proficient in use of sophisticated transportation management software (TMS) programs

    + Excellent human relations, organizational and communication skills.

    + Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

    + Four (4) years of logistics acumen and route planning experience.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Additional related education and/or experience.
