We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to support Distribution Underground Conversion projects. This role involves providing project management oversight and direction for project teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, including scoping, initiation, planning, design, permit acquisition, construction, and close-out activities. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, ensuring successful execution and achievement of results in terms of costs, methods, and outcomes.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage activities for multiple projects, ensuring successful execution.
+ Provide direction throughout the project lifecycle, including scoping, initiation, planning, design, permit acquisition, construction, and close-out.
+ Collaborate to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, and deliverables.
+ Utilize project controls for budget and schedule management, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
+ Resolve issues and ensure task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members and functional managers.
+ Identify problems and solutions in direct involvement with tasks necessary for successful project execution.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of project management experience.
+ Experience with project management in electric utilities and underground distribution conversions.
+ Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Projects, Teams, SAP, and Primavera P6.
+ Understanding and use of core project management concepts and processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
+ Environmental permitting experience (coastal permits, SWPPP, public lands approvals) preferred.
+ Utility and underground utility experience is a plus.
+ Construction management experience.
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Work Environment
This role requires 1-2 days per week on-site at a utility client office in Southern California. Since 1985, our organization has been committed to delivering high-quality engineering and design services, including power system engineering, utility system design, electric system hardening, underground conversions, electric vehicle charging stations, utility interconnections, substation design, battery storage engineering, and lighting and system engineering. Our projects span across Military, Developers, Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Medical, and Municipal Facilities.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pomona, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
