Electrical Superintendent (Data Center Focus; Concrete Experience Preferred)
Position Summary
We are hiring an Electrical Superintendent to lead the field execution of large-scale projects, with a strong preference for mission-critical/data center experience. Concrete experience is preferred—particularly around duct banks, grounding grids, embeds, and cast-in-place conduit. This role ensures safety, quality, and schedule performance from rough-in through energization and commissioning.
Responsibilities
+ Lead electrical field operations: plan daily/weekly work, direct crews, and coordinate trade partners.
+ Sequence work with civil/concrete teams (slab/structural pours, embeds, sleeves, deck penetrations).
+ Oversee installation of MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, grounding/bonding, and pathways.
+ Coordinate closely with MEP, controls, and low-voltage teams for clash-free installation.
+ Enforce safety protocols (Lockout/Tagout, NFPA 70E practices) and daily job hazard analyses.
+ Conduct QA/QC inspections; uphold testing standards (insulation resistance, megger, torque checks).
+ Support start-up/commissioning with vendors and commissioning agents; manage punchlists.
+ Read and interpret drawings/specs; validate field conditions against coordinated BIM/shop drawings.
+ Maintain short-interval plans, look-ahead schedules, and constraint logs; escalate risks early.
+ Track manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity; manage RFIs and field change directives.
Qualifications
+ 7–10+ years of electrical field leadership on large commercial/industrial projects.
+ Data center or mission-critical experience strongly preferred.
+ Concrete experience preferred: duct banks, embedded items, cast-in-place conduit, vault/set inspections.
+ Deep knowledge of NEC, grounding/bonding, cable routing, and equipment installation tolerances.
+ Experience collaborating with civil/structural teams and coordinating embedded work.
+ Strong communication, planning, and safety leadership; proficiency with field management tools.
+ Journeyman/Master Electrician licensure a plus; ability to work on-site with possible regional travel.
Why Join Us
+ Lead complex electrical scopes on high-profile, mission-critical builds.
+ Hands-on influence over safety, quality, and schedule—with strong executive support.
+ Opportunities to mentor crews and advance into general superintendent roles.
+ Competitive pay, benefits, and robust project pipeline.
