Job Title: Construction InspectorJob Description
Join a dynamic construction management team responsible for the comprehensive construction project at the VA Canandaigua Medical Center. The project focuses on building housing for veterans in need, featuring both wood frame and steel construction, with connected corridors, civil work, roads, parking, and landscaping. This position is based on a project-based contract and is crucial in supporting the QAQC team with submittal management and daily inspections.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct 1-3 inspections daily to ensure quality assurance and quality control.
+ Manage submittal processes to prevent project delays.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure timely submission of reports.
+ Maintain detailed daily reports to keep track of project progress and issues.
+ Assist in the preparation of punch lists and follow-up on completion of tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction inspection and QAQC.
+ Proficiency in managing submittals and RFIs.
+ OSHA 30 certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with both wood frame and steel construction.
+ Understanding of civil work, including roads, parking, and landscaping.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role at the VA Canandaigua Medical Center, located at 400 Foot Hill Avenue. The project is expected to run through the end of 2026, requiring close collaboration with a construction management team. The work involves a mix of indoor and outdoor environments as part of a large-scale construction project.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Canandaigua, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
