Description

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Stockton, California. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in accounting practices and financial management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple accounting tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bank account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Manage full-charge bookkeeping tasks, including tracking expenses and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain organized and up-to-date accounts.

• Utilize QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online to manage and monitor financial data effectively.

• Assist with maintaining compliance and preparing financial statements.

• Analyze financial information and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting operations and reporting.

• Support audits and ensure proper documentation of financial activities.

• Review and verify the accuracy of financial transactions and reports.

• Provide recommendations for improving accounting processes and systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bank account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

• Strong knowledge of full-charge bookkeeping practices and principles.

• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data effectively.

• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
