    Description

    Our team is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst for a contract position based in Hartford, CT. This is a critical opportunity to collaborate with business leaders on impactful financial initiatives—helping to drive strategic priorities and improve operational efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Budgeting & Forecasting

    + Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and year-end reports for multiple clients, driving significant improvements in forecast accuracy.

    + Provide actionable financial insights to Controllers, VPs of Operations, and Directors to support key business decisions.

    + Financial Modeling & Risk Management

    + Perform scenario-based financial modeling and incorporate hedging strategies to reduce financial volatility.

    + Optimize product-level margins through advanced financial analysis and reporting.

    + Strategic Collaboration

    + Work closely with department heads and trading teams to refine pricing and investment strategies aimed at increasing margins and reducing costs.

    + Performance Reporting & Analysis

    + Create compelling business narratives and KPI-driven Balanced Scorecards for executive leadership.

    + Design interactive dashboards using Power BI and Power Query for real-time monitoring of product utilization, costs, and operational efficiency—minimizing manual reporting and ensuring data accuracy.

    + Process Automation

    + Automate monthly close, performance tracking, and reporting workflows using VBA and Power Automate to streamline processes and maximize data reliability.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

    + 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

    + Strong proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, VBA, and Power Automate.

    + Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis.

    + Outstanding communication and executive presentation skills.

    + Collaborative mindset with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
