Status: Full Time
Shift: Typically, Monday - Friday dayshift w/ rotating on-call (typically 1 holiday per year & every 7th weekend)
Responsibilities:
+ Apply the nursing process within the Relationship-Based Care framework to create a healing, patient-centered environment.
+ Develop daily patient goals and individualized plans of care that actively involve patients and reflect holistic needs.
+ Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, clearly articulating patient conditions and care recommendations.
+ Maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation that supports continuity of care.
+ Demonstrate advanced clinical assessment and analytical skills within the context of Relationship-Based Care.
+ Demonstrate a strong commitment to developing others by enthusiastically precepting students, graduate nurses, and new hires.
+ Analyze clinical and behavioral situations to identify learning opportunities and improve patient care practices.
+ Actively seek and apply feedback to support continuous professional growth.
+ Integrate evidence-based practice into daily professional practice.
+ Serve as a role model for professional nursing practice and a recognized unit leader in areas such as clinical expertise, education, specialized nursing roles, or evidence-based practice.
+ Lead and support initiatives that enhance patient care quality and the unit environment.
+ Participate in shared governance at the unit level and serve on hospital-wide councils.
+ Perform scrub role (required for RNs hired on or after July 1, 2023).
+ Perform other duties as assigned.Job title and salary based upon education and experience.
+ Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
+ Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to lead others in applying the nursing process.
+ Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment
+ Physical capability to meet job demands, including mobility, visual and manual dexterity, and stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and positioning patients.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
