    $23.06 per hour

    At **CoreCivic** we do more than manage inmates, we care for

    people. **CoreCivic** is currently seeking a **Certified Medical Assistant P/T,** who has a

    passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional setting.

     

    The incumbent should be able to perform all of the

    following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job

    performance requirements

    1. Administer medication to inmates/residents under the directsupervision of the Health Services Administrator.

    2. Obtain, monitor, record and report vital signs and patient'scondition as needed.

    3. Prepare patients for physical exams, procedures and treatments.

    4. Assist nurse/physician with physical exams, procedures andtreatments.

    5. Engage in functions in confined areas that include suchthings as working rotating shifts and physically checking the doors, windowsand other areas to verify they are secure.

    Qualifications:

    + Highschool diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater.

    + Mustbe state certified as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or meetthe state guidelines for exceptions to certification.

    + Avalid driver's license is required.

    + Minimumage requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
