    About the Role

     

    The Solid Organ Transplant Data Specialist is responsible for collecting, storing, and tracking all current and historical data related to organ donors, pre-transplant patients, and transplant recipients. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and membership standards through accurate and timely data management.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Collect, verify, and enter external test results into patient charts and transplant-related registries.

    + Compile and submit required data to the **United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)** , Organ Procurement Organizations, and other registries within specified timeframes.

    + Document all data submissions accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

    + Obtain, evaluate, and analyze transplant data for reporting and quality improvement purposes.

    + Responsible for collecting, organizing, and coordinating patient medical records to ensure accuracy and timely availability

    Qualifications

    + **Education:**

    + Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training through work experience or education.

    + Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Systems Administration, or Medical Assisting.

    + **Experience:**

    + Required: At least 1 year of data entry experience (healthcare experience strongly preferred).

    + Preferred: 3 years of related experience.

    + **Skills:**

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with medical, nursing, and UNOS personnel.

    COMPENSATION

    Pay Range: $16.70 - $25.53 per hour

     

    _Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
