Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI is seeking a PHARMACIST IN CHARGE to join our MEDICAL CENTER PHARMACY team!

The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is responsible for the professional operations of pharmacy and is designated as the Pharmacist in Charge/Managing Pharmacist with the WI State Board of Pharmacy. They have oversight of all activities related to the practice of pharmacy including the purchasing, storage, compounding, repackaging, dispensing, and distribution of drugs and devices to ensure that those activities are performed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The PIC is responsible for enforcement and oversight of medication related policies and procedures. The PIC will act as a preceptor for Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) and Advanced Practice Pharmacy Experience (APPE) students as needed.

Our ideal candidate has considerable experience as a professional pharmacist, preferably in a role requiring leadership. This role requires you have superb attention to detail and organizational skills.

HOURS: Full-Time of 1.0 FTE, Monday – Friday 0730-1800, day shift, No weekends!

Experience/Qualifications

+ Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy, PharmD or other advanced degree.

+ Active Wisconsin licensure as a pharmacist.

+ Knowledge in the following beneficial: Leadership training and experience, financial budgeting and management, Lean methodology and related knowledge, Customer service methods, Strategic planning, Employee engagement
