We’re hiring a Smart Hands IT Support Technician to support day-to-day operations across networking, hardware deployment, troubleshooting, and onsite technical support for a major enterprise environment. This role is perfect for someone with strong foundational IT skills, excellent communication, and a passion for solving problems in real time.

What You’ll Do

As the go-to onsite technical resource, you will:

+ Provide hands-on support for servers, network devices, desktops, and peripherals

+ Rack, stack, and cable equipment in data rooms or IDF/MDF locations

+ Troubleshoot hardware issues, perform swaps, and execute break/fix tasks

+ Assist with network troubleshooting, patching, and physical connectivity

+ Support device imaging, deployments, and workstation setup

+ Work with remote engineering teams to be their “hands and eyes” onsite

+ Handle equipment moves, installations, and site-level tech changes

+ Document work, complete tickets, and follow standard operating procedures

+ Maintain professional communication with end users and vendors

Requirements

What You Bring

+ 1–3+ years of IT Support, Smart Hands, Field Tech, or similar experience

+ Experience with hardware troubleshooting (PCs, laptops, phones, printers, etc.)

+ Ability to work with network gear: cabling, patching, tracing, rack work

+ Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.)

+ Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, VLANs, switches)

+ Comfort working in data closets/server rooms

+ Strong customer service and communication skills

+ Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and move equipment as needed

Nice-to-Haves

+ CompTIA A+ or Network+

+ Experience supporting enterprise environments

+ Familiarity with remote support tools (RDP, TeamViewer, Bomgar, etc.)

+ Exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or similar networking equipment
