Description

We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in Deer Park, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing and resolving outstanding accounts while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.

• Communicate effectively with customers to resolve disputes and negotiate payment arrangements.

• Analyze customer accounts to identify trends and potential risks related to collections.

• Process and track payments while maintaining accurate records of all transactions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve overall billing processes.

• Prepare regular reports detailing collection activities and account statuses.

• Follow established credit and collection policies to ensure compliance with company standards.

• Assist in reviewing and updating collection procedures to enhance efficiency.

• Respond promptly to inquiries regarding billing and account issues.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and account details.

Requirements • Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections in a detail-oriented environment.

• Strong knowledge of credit and collections processes and best practices.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for resolving account issues.

• Proficiency in managing billing collection activities and maintaining accurate records.

• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends impacting collections.

• Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems used in credit and collections.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to collections.
