Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians and a Maintenance Lead to join our team at a mining/quarry operation. These roles focus on fixed plant maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. The Maintenance Lead will oversee a team of 4 or more technicians.

Responsibilities

+ Perform mechanical maintenance on mining equipment, including conveyors, crushers, and vibratory screens.

+ Replace bearings, perform belt lacing, cutting/welding, and other repair tasks.

+ Conduct general labor duties such as shoveling and cleanup as needed.

+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems to maintain operational efficiency.

+ For the Lead role: supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for a team of 4+ technicians, ensuring safety and productivity.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with mining or quarry equipment.

+ Conveyor repair, bearing replacement, belt lacing, and welding skills.

+ Knowledge of crushers and vibratory screens is a plus.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

+ Leadership experience (for Lead role) managing maintenance teams.

Work Environment

Work in a mine and shop environment, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM. Weekend overtime is extremely rare and OT usually occurs at the end of shifts, rather than weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomsdale, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
