    Job Title: CNC Programmer/Tool Maker

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Tool Maker to join our team. You will work from prints, sketches, and CAD files, and be responsible for interpreting designs from other designers. The ideal candidate has experience with EDM, CNC, and other manual machines, and exhibits a positive attitude.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret CAD files and blueprints from other designers.

    + Perform quality checks and maintenance on tools and machines.

    + Operate CNC, EDM, and milling machines while maintaining tight tolerances.

    + Set up, program, and operate CNC, EDM, and milling machines.

    + Program and machine new fixturing using CAD and CAM software.

    + Design and build custom vise jaws and sample fixtures for part production.

    + Identify and solve process and program issues.

    + Evaluate and recommend improvements for process and programs.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in CNC setup and operation.

    + 3-5 years of experience with MAZAK, HAAS, & FANUC controls.

    + Solid understanding of CAD software.

    + Knowledge of tooling and tooling capabilities.

    + Strong mechanical skills.

    + Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Tool and die experience.

    + Experience with CAD software is a plus.

    + Knowledge of measurement tools.

    + An eye for detail.

    + Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a true first shift position, working from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work if needed. The tool shop consists of about 5-6 people, with plans to expand due to new business opportunities.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Vicksburg, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr.
