Crouse is currently hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. This role conducts high quality testing on patients utilizing special training in the safe use of radioactive materials and sophisticated imaging equipment.
Hours: three 8-hour shifts, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Pay Range: $35.00 - $65.19 / hour
Patient & Guest Relations Representative Responsibilities:
+ Professionally performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and specialist imaging equipment.
+ Properly prepares and verifies unit dosage of required radiopharmaceutical prior to administering dose, in accordance with existing aseptic techniques.
+ Efficiently performs studies and takes all routine views assuring that all images are labeled to the patient (orientation, time past injection, etc.) with the highest level of accuracy.
+ Routinely performs quality control tests on the nuclear medicine equipment and reports any malfunctions to department leadership in a timely manner.
+ Courteously transports patients to and from the department as necessary.
+ Proactively responds to patient needs to endure safe and comfortable environment during the procedure. Explains the test and procedure in a polite and reassuring manner.
+ Assumes other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Job Requirements:
+ Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Training Program.
+ Current registration as Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or candidate must be eligible to sit for boards upon hire date.
+ Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire.
