Special Education Teacher (K–5) – $55/hr

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED – LBS1) to provide high-quality services to elementary students in a self-contained classroom setting. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will deliver individualized instruction, tutorial assistance, and collaborate with general education staff to support student success.

? Responsibilities

+ Provide direct instruction and support to special education students (K–5).

+ Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).

+ Collaborate with general education staff and paraprofessionals.

+ Maintain compliance with professional standards and documentation requirements.

+ Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).

+ Valid Illinois teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations.

+ One year of teaching experience (preferred).

+ State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred).

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable).

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.

+ Competitive pay at $55/hour.
