    Waste Connections (San Luis Obispo, CA)


    San Luis Hauling, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a full-time **Yard Laborer** to join our team in San Luis Obispo, CA!

     

    This is a full-time, long-term position with full benefits!

     

    The schedule will be Monday – Friday, 7am-4pm.

     

    **Pay starts at $20.00 per hour** . The pay range for this job category is $20 - 21.25/hour.

     

    This is an outdoor, labor-intensive position that is physically demanding and requires heavy lifting.

    Responsibilities Include:

    + Pressure-washing containers and equipment

    + Container assembly/breakdown

    + Painting containers and around the facility

    + Litter/debris cleanup

    + General site/yard maintenance

    + Operating forklift

    + Other assigned laborer duties

    Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

    + Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

    + Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.

    + The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

    Requirements:

    + At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a labor type position

    + Ability to work/operate safely and adhere to all safety policies

    + Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift

    + Flexibility to rotate through various tasks as needed

    + Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
