    About the Internship

     

    Come Build with us! The Construction Management dedicates construction and contract management expertise to provide assurance that construction contracts are completed in accordance with contract specifications, budgets, and schedules in a safe and secure manner. As an intern on our team, you will be working alongside engineers and contractors building infrastructure at our facilities in the New York or New Jersey region to help minimize operational impacts that may compromise customer service. Air, Land, Rail, Sea -- we build it all!

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with Construction Administration, adherence to specifications and projects.

    + Field inspections, daily narratives, coordination with contractors.

    + Follow onsite guidelines and best Construction Management practices.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship

    + Major in Engineering (Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, or related discipline)

    + Valid Driver License.

    Desired Qualifications

    + Experience with Microsoft Office suite i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.

    + Excellent written and oral skills.

    + Interest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey region.

    + Interest in public services and transportation.

    + Willingness to learn.

    Internship Details

    + The start date will be Thursday, May 28, 2026

    + The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 21, 2026

    + This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)

    + The internship requires interns to be fully in-person.

    Compensation & Benefits

    + The hourly rate range is $18.07 to $30.31 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
