    Lockheed Martin Space in Cape Canaveral, FL is

    seeking a Summer intern Software Engineer\. In

    this role, you will be responsible for:

    \- Learning and contributing in a professional corporate

     

    environment

     

    \- Working on a team of software engineers to deliver

     

    innovative software solutions

     

    \- Working on all aspects of the software development

     

    life cycle from planning to deployment

     

    The successful candidate will have experience and/or

    knowledge of:

    \- Software languages like C\#, Java, Python, database

     

    concepts, HTML and JavaScript

     

    \- Workflow Development

     

    \- Motivated team member

     

    \- Written and Oral Communication Skills

     

    Must be a US Citizen; this position may require

     

    obtaining a government security clearance\.

     

    Must be local to the facility and/or willing to commute\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    \- Enrolled in a bachelor's degree majoring in Software Engineering or a related field\.

     

    \- Software engineering development principals

     

    \- Agile development methodologies

     

    \- Programming language such as C\#, Java, Python

     

    \- Database concepts

    Desired Skills:

    \- Workflow Development

     

    \- Scripting languages such as JavaScript, PHP, HTML

     

    \- Web application development

     

    \- Business intelligence

     

    \- Business analyst

     

    \- Excellent written and verbal communications kills

     

    \- Ability to work in a collaborative and team\-based

     

    environment

     

    \- Proficient with Microsoft Office

     

    \- Proficient with Atlassian Tools \- Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket

    \- Proficient with Oracle Tech Stacks

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
