Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000, based on experience and demonstrated abilities. Benefits include paid holidays & leave time, NYS retirement, and health & dental insurance. The Community Schools Coordinator supports the component districts of the region by developing and implementing the community school model across the WFL BOCES region. While specific responsibilities may vary based on needs, key duties include:
+ Collaborating with district and building leadership across participating component districts to develop and carry out the community school approach.
+ Serving on district and building teams as the representative for community school practices and priorities.
+ Providing leadership that advances and strengthens the community school model throughout the region.
+ Facilitating focus groups with administrators, teachers, staff, families, and students to identify strengths and challenges.
+ Creating and maintaining an inventory that outlines available resources and gaps in services across districts.
+ Using needs assessment data to recruit, organize, and coordinate partnerships that address shared priorities.
+ Aligning community and school resources to ensure coherence, efficiency, and lack of duplication across multiple sites.
+ Supporting family engagement in collaboration with district and building staff.
+ Developing opportunities that elevate the voices of underrepresented parents and gather meaningful feedback from families who may not typically participate.
+ Planning and facilitating events that bring families together for connection, learning, and community building.
+ Maintaining records and data required for program evaluation and reporting.
+ Overseeing data collection completed by interns and volunteers.
+ Coordinating required paperwork and documentation processes.
+ Performing other duties as assigned by the Executive Director for Innovation and Program Development to support the success of the Community Schools CoSer.
Job Qualifications
Required:
Qualifications may include but are not limited to:
+ Masters Degree in social work or education
+ NYS Certification (Social Work or Teacher Certification)
Preferred:
+ Experience working with or in schools is preferred but not required
+ Additional minimum qualifications as listed on the job posting.
