As a Facility Maintenance Technician II, you will perform intermediate-level maintenance work under the direction of Plant Engineering Services leadership, helping maintain the service life of our facilities and systems while supporting exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do

+ Perform intermediate-level maintenance and repair work to maintain the service life of company assets, including:

+ Physical structures

+ HVAC systems

+ Mechanical and utility systems

+ Grounds and exterior systems

+ Support a safe, compliant, and fully operational healthcare environment

+ Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned work safely and effectively

+ Respond to service requests and preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner

+ Follow safety practices, building codes, and Environment of Care standards

+ Apply customer service principles when interacting with patients, visitors, and team members

+ Work collaboratively with Plant Engineering leadership and other departments

What We're Looking For

Education

+ High School Diploma or GED, required

Experience

+ Two years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, required

+ Four years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, preferred

Licensure or Certifications

+ Valid driver’s license, required

Additional Skills (Required)

+ Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing

+ Ability to apply customer satisfaction standards

+ Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance

+ Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority

Additional Skills (Preferred)

+ Broad knowledge of principles in the design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment

+ Broad knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, and The Joint Commission Environment of Care standards

+ Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics
