Job Summary
The Scrum Master – Asset Management leads and influences the Team according to their needs and to follow Scrum. The Scrum Master – Asset Management has experience with the Scrum framework, Scrum values, Agile principles and values in the Agile manifesto and coaches others on the subtleties.
They partner effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of priorities and product delivery, planning and executing on product tasks and driving for results through both product team members and stakeholders. They leverage technical/functional subject matter experts to maximize velocity for product completion, carefully balancing the three constraints of cost, time, and scope to best suit the needs of the business and the enterprise.
They ensure accountability, transparency, and regularity in product status updates. They serve as a partner in the deployment of Agile methodology and processes for assigned line of business product being supported by Information Technology.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
+ Provides consulting to the Product Owner in building and maintaining the product roadmap, release plan and strategic product roadmap based on the priorities set by the Product Owner and input from the Team.
+ Facilitate Scrum master meetings for assigned product area with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work. Reach out to the larger company network for impediment removal and drive cross functional partnerships to achieve shared goals.
+ Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos. Facilitate effective coordination with other Scrum teams, product teams, and/or operational teams. Consult with the Product Owner to validate priorities.
+ Foster self-organization and cross team collaboration. Enable the Team to make decisions and remove decision making barriers whenever possible. Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
+ Identify areas for process improvement and establishes effective and efficient processes, by analyzing current and new product management processes.
+ Help the team monitor progress daily. Identify opportunities for the team to improve incrementally. Maintain relevant metrics to show progress.
+ Manage and communicate relevant metrics to team on progress against team objectives.
+ Establishes and maintains a strong partnership with internal customers to fully understand the business and their business needs.
+ Strengthen the presence of our team as an Agile center of excellence. Actively contribute to the company’s Agile and Product Community. Keep the rest of the company network aware of our activities

Job Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or other technical related field or equivalent work experience.
+ 2-4 years in a lead role on projects, scrum teams, and/or business led initiatives.
+ Understand fundamentals of iterative development, software development process and procedures.
+ Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices.
+ High level of organization and attention to detail.
+ Passion and understanding of new technology and trends.
+ Strong communication, collaboration and influence skills among all organizational levels; strong facilitation and executive communications skills.
+ Ability to effectively manage and resolve conflicting priorities.
Preferred:
+ Experience in leading agile teams in SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban contexts.
+ Certified Scrum Master or similar certification.
+ Experience managing essential risk mitigation activities including identification, tracking, follow-up, escalation, and contingency planning on risks, issues.
+ Understand multiple software development processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise.
+ Strong leadership skills to coordinate and motivate product teams, even outside direct reporting relationships.
+ Experience developing and implementing initiative and product level performance metrics.
+ Experience working in large, complex organizational initiatives.
+ Advanced skills in MS Office Suite with particular emphasis on Excel.
Additional Information
+ This position requires you to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN a minimum of three days a week (currently Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $120,194.00 - $162,615.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
