Job Title: Informatics Pharmacist
Job Description
The Informatics Pharmacist is responsible for developing and managing pharmacy information systems to support patient care, education, and research initiatives.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor and optimize the performance of the Electronic Health Record (EHR), ensuring accuracy and enhancing clinical functionality in collaboration with clinicians.
+ Coordinate software upgrades and updates for EHR systems and department hardware.
+ Partner with other IT service lines on pharmacy-related projects at both departmental and enterprise levels.
+ Design and deliver staff education, including user training manuals and orientation materials for pharmacy information systems.
+ Provide troubleshooting and on-call support for pharmacy technology needs.
+ Maintain pharmacy-related documentation and backup systems across the organization.
Essential Skills
+ Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
+ Epic Willow certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
+ Strong understanding of the medication-use process and related health system technologies.
+ Excellent analytical and organizational skills for evaluating and implementing systems.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, vendors, and external partners.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
+ Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
+ Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings.
Work Environment
The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, during day shifts with occasional on-call responsibilities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54.06 - $84.09/hr.
