Description

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves processing payroll and supporting administrative functions. The ideal candidate thrives in analytical tasks, demonstrates patience, and is eager to learn and develop expertise in payroll processes. This is a Contract position offering an excellent opportunity for long-term career growth.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately, ensuring compliance.

• Prepare checks, organize them into envelopes, and coordinate mailing.

• Set up and manage new files, ensuring proper imaging and documentation.

• Learn and apply payroll processing procedures to meet organizational standards.

• Work patiently through detailed processes without becoming overwhelmed by complexity.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and accurate payroll operations.

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive employee and payroll information.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll or a related field.

• Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processes, including garnishments and benefits administration.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex data accurately.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to remain patient and focused when learning new systems and procedures.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in payroll handling.
