Description

We are seeking a Lead MES Engineer / Sr. IT Lead to oversee and support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related IT operations for a client in Alabama. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and team leadership to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. Immediate start.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 to assist with relocation expenses.

Responsibilities

+ Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the MES system, including implementing changes and maintaining SQL jobs.

+ Manage MES devices, hardware, and inventory, including printers, barcode scanners, and PPC devices.

+ Translate operational requirements into technical specifications, work instructions, and rollout plans.

+ Provide basic network and integrated system support (e.g., JIS, Paint Shop, AIB, HMI) and handle escalations.

+ Lead MES projects, coordinate with the PM team, and manage MES engineers, schedules, and team availability.

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 7+ years of IT experience.

+ Strong understanding of MES in manufacturing operations.

+ Experience with SQL, MSSQL, and Microsoft Excel.

+ Proven ability to manage projects, teams, and IT operations in a manufacturing environment.

+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

+ Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under fast-paced conditions.

+ Flexible schedule with willingness to support after-hours, weekends, and on-call as needed.
