    Position Summary** **:

    The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing a combination of assembly, weld, mold, and test operations on electromechanical medical devices. This effort includes, but is not limited to, activities related with coordination of line balances and inspections. This individual works with other manufacturing operators to ensure products are made up to company standards.

    Essential Functions** **:

    + Performs Electronic Assembly functions:

    + Assembles, welds, solders and test medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools

    + Locates and corrects problems by performing visual inspection of parts

    + Tests units using an automated computerized test equipment

    + Performs Mold functions:

    + Examines medical devices and related assemblies after molding operations to locate bubbles, nicks and/or excess epoxy.

    + Utilizes small drills, reamers, taps and knives to access bubbles and remove excess epoxy.

    + Patches and repairs bubbles or voids using syringes and small tools; bakes parts to cure epoxy patches.

    + Performs Mechanical Assembly functions:

    + Kits, assembles, bonds coats and processes medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools

    + Locates and corrects problems by examining devices and components and visually inspecting parts/assemblies

    + Repairs and corrects devices and related components using microscopes and applicable tools

    + May set-up/utilize special test equipment

    + Notifies supervisor of the need to replenish supplies/materials and of any production difficulties that cannot be readily corrected

    + Supports all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements

    + Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors

    + Actively participates in the programs designated by the company, such as but not limited to 5’s, Lean Manufacturing, improvement ideas or any other initiative that includes the production area, being a role model for their colleagues

    + Complies with the requirements of good documentation practices that are used in the different processes, demonstrating that errors are the exception and not the rule

    + Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

    + Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

    + Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

    Qualifications** **:

    + High School Diploma or its equivalent with at least one year of experience in the field or in a related area preferred

    + Coyol Free Zone Certified Operator is a plus

    + Experience in medical device soldering is preferred

    + Demonstrated manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination

    + Must be able to use standard hand tools used in the assembly of medical devices

    + The demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies, and rules is essential

    + Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment

    + Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

    + Incumbents are required to work cooperatively and productively with others

    + Must be able to multi-task and rotate through all jobs performed in the assigned work group as needed

    + Strong organizational and follow-up skills

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Attention to detail

    + Self-starter

    + Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills

    + Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products

    + Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

    + Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

    + Required to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus.
