    Special Education Teacher (LBS1)

     

    Pay Rate: $50+/hr

     

    Schedule: Full-time

     

    Start Date: ASAP – End of School Year

    About the Role

    We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality services to students in grades K–2. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver instruction and support to students with special needs

    + Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

    + Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

    + Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

    + Document student progress and communicate with families

    Minimum Requirements

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations

    + Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

    + State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, and Special Teaching (preferred)

    + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

    + Must meet all professional standards of practice

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
