About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Supervisor for the Rothschild, WI facility to lead a team of laboratory technicians in a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)-compliant environment. This role is critical to ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of excipients tested and released for sale to the pharmaceutical market. The supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations in a 24/7 laboratory equipped with advanced analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GC, and IC systems, while managing personnel under a Union contract.
Key responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of QC laboratory technicians across multiple shifts
• Ensure all testing procedures comply with GLP standards, internal SOPs, and regulatory requirements (e.g., USP, EP, ICH)
• Oversee analytical testing of excipients using HPLC, GC, IC, and other relevant techniques
• Review and approve laboratory data, test results, and batch release documentation
• Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and ensure calibration and preventive maintenance schedules are followed
• Collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs to support product release and investigations
• Lead training and development initiatives for lab personnel, ensuring technical proficiency and compliance awareness
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready laboratory environment
• Manage scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with Union contract provisions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs) as needed.
Qualifications and skills
Education/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar Science/Engineering.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of quality experience and/or training in the food and beverage industry.
The pay range for this position is $64,479 - $105,272 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
