About The Role:

SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for a **Material Planner** . The Material Planner ensures that all material requirements for assigned products are satisfied within the allocated time frame.

Additional Information:

+ **Schedule:** **Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM** with opportunity for overtime as business demands (schedule may vary during busy season)

+ Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position

+ This position does not require sponsorship

What will you do:

+ Coordinating with production support staff to close out contract requirements. Serving as focal point for identifying and resolving material issues.

+ Reviewing and acting on order release, action, and follow up. Developing and maintaining bill of materials and associated data.

+ Preparing bills of material; ensuring timely delivery of component materials needed to support production requirements.

+ Verifying contract requirements; coordinating material acquisitions and shipments to assure availability for the manufacturing process.

What will you have:

+ **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

+ **Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP):** Knowledge of the process, issues and considerations for systematically managing distribution of inventory for multiple plants or warehouses; ability to apply related knowledge and experience in real practice. Experience with forecasting

+ **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

+ **Inventory Management - MFG:** Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.

+ **Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP):** Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.

+ **Supply Chain Management - MFG:** Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use strategies, practices and tools for controlling logistical processes.

Summary Pay Range:

$24.60 - $36.90
