**About the Opportunity** :
This position exists to welcome, greet and assist all visitors entering the PERA office and to provide assistance to callers with account maintenance and general information questions. This is accomplished by determining the needs of the caller or visitor and determining the degree of assistance the incumbent in this position can provide.
This position also provides administrative support on a number of member service programs and tasks, ensures individual member meeting rooms are maintained, and provides general overall administrative support to the association’s members and internal staff.
This position is not eligible for telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) . This position is located in St. Paul, MN.
Minimum Qualifications

Experience **must clearly** demonstrate the following:
+ Customer service and language skills sufficient to provide tactful, prompt, courteous, and accurate benefit information to customers on the phone, in-person, email or written correspondence
+ Ability to analyze, interpret, and reconcile a variety of financial information records and reports, identify errors and recommend solutions to procedural or other fiscal problems
+ Ability to comprehend policies and statutes that impact compliance, understand work prioritization, and meet work deadlines
+ Data entryskillssufficient toinput and updateinformationtomemberaccounts in a databaseandrecord keeping system,andperformdetailedreviewofdatato find and correctdiscrepancies
+ Working proficiency with computers and software, including Microsoft Office, and other office equipment such as copiers and scanning equipment

Physical Requirements
Requires occasional moving (up to 15 pounds) of articles such as file folders, ledgers, and small office equipment. Must be able to do daily repetitive motion type work such as data entry and letter folding. Although a sedentary job is defined as one that involves sitting, a certain amount of movement is often necessary in completing job duties.
