Objectives
The Engineering Project Lead will serve as the **technical representative** for assigned projects and proposals, interfacing with **clients, vendors, and third parties** . This role is responsible for leading engineering teams, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and delivering high-quality technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
+ Oversee all engineering and technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
+ Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across various locations, including internal and external resources.
+ Manage engineering schedules, forecasts, and recovery planning to maintain project timelines.
+ Ensure strict adherence to the Engineering Design Change Notification (EDCN) process.
Sale/Tender Phase:
+ Analyze client technical requirements during the **Budgetary Quotation (BQ) and proposal phases** to develop engineering

+ Analyze client technical requirements during the **Budgetary Quotation (BQ) and proposal phases** to develop engineering documentation for cost estimation.
+ Attend bid clarification meetings, providing technical expertise.
+ Supervise the development of **Technical Requisitions (TRs)** and **Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs)** based on vendor offers.
+ Review and compile engineering hour estimations to ensure accurate costing. **Execution Phase:**
+ Ensure projects are executed **as-sold** , complying with SLB standards and client specifications.
+ Lead engineering teams, managing workflow and coordinating activities across multiple disciplines.
+ Develop and communicate **engineering execution strategies and baseline schedules** .
+ Attend **kickoff meetings and design reviews** , preventing scope creep.
+ Monitor project compliance with the agreed scope and initiate **Variation Order Requests (VORs)** if required.
+ Validate and approve engineering documents, ensuring quality control and consistency.
+ Manage subcontracted technical work and specialized safety studies.
+ Conduct **weekly/monthly engineering progress reviews** , updating forecasts and recovery plans as needed.
+ Ensure full compliance with the EDCN process through regular monitoring.
+ Provide technical approvals for **Commercial Variation Orders (VORs) or Management of Change (MOC) requests** .
+ **Qualifications**
+ **Bachelor’s degree** in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) from an accredited university.
+ **10+ years of industry experience** , particularly in **production facilities** or **process package engineering** .
+ Strong leadership capabilities in **multicultural, multidisciplinary teams** , both on-site and remote.
+ Experience managing technical discussions with clients and delivering **technical presentations** .
+ High level of **initiative, decision-making, and prioritization skills** .
+ Familiarity with **industry standards and codes** such as ASME, API, NFPA, IEC, NEC.
+ Experience participating in **HAZOP and other safety studies** , as well as model reviews.
+ **Operation and constructability workshop** experience is a plus.
