Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and processing all outbound shipments from the facility, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with both domestic and international shipping requirements. This role supports inventory accuracy, carrier coordination, and export compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and process domestic and international shipments, including invoices, packing slips, labels, and customs documentation.
+ Monitor outbound shelves to ensure orders are properly picked and ready for shipment.
+ Verify shipment accuracy by confirming inventory reductions, serial numbers, and packing lists.
+ Process shipments in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.
+ Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) to schedule pickups and ensure on-time delivery.
+ Ensure compliance with export regulations and customs requirements for all international shipments.
+ Select appropriate packaging based on order size, contents, and shipping method.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area.
+ Monitor and replenish shipping supplies, including cartons, packing materials, and labels.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
+ Working knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, including export/import documentation and regulations.
+ Proficiency with shipping software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
+ Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
+ Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
+ Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
