    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

     

    Pay: $28 - $32 / HR

    Responsibilities

    + Always work safely—this is a core requirement of the role.

    + Follow all company policies, GMPs, and SOPs.

    + Collaborate with team members, apply mechanical concepts, and be open to training and feedback.

    + Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical issues on processing equipment.

    + Inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and take proactive steps to prevent downtime.

    + Monitor machinery to reduce unplanned outages, resolve problems promptly, and look for process improvements.

    + Support line startups and assist operators with equipment adjustments.

    + Perform general building maintenance and repairs as needed.

    + Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.

    + Weld and fabricate parts or machinery when required.

    + Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to plan and execute routine and preventive maintenance schedules.

    + Help onboard and train new team members, ensuring they’re fully capable before working independently.

    + Act as a point of contact for non-standard work, emergency repairs, and vendor coordination.

    + Set the tone for safety, work ethic, and compliance with GMPs.

    + Provide hands-on support when team members encounter challenges.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic.

    + High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus.

    + Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including chains, sprockets, gears, bushings, bearings, gearboxes, and other moving components.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues effectively.

    + Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to collaborate with peers, supervisors, and managers.

    + Competence in basic math.

    + Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

    + Organized and detail-oriented approach to tasks.

    + Flexible schedule and willingness to work varied hours as needed.

    Work Environment/Shift

    + GMP Environment

    + Swing Shift: 1:30pm - 10:30pm, M-F

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boring, OR.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
