    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced mill-turn machinist for our machine shop located in Garden Grove, CA. The role involves setting up and operating CNC machines during the day shift, with a focus on ensuring precision and efficiency in aerospace, oil and gas, and medical device manufacturing.

    Responsibilities

    + Setup and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines with live tooling, Y-axis, and sub-spindle operations.

    + Program at the control (Fanuc/MAPPS) or read and adjust G-code.

    + Lead setups and provide training to other team members.

    + Work second shift or weekends as needed.

    + Maintain attention to detail and ensure high-quality outputs.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in CNC Mill-Turn machine setup and operation.

    + Proficiency in using blueprints and standard measuring equipment.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills, including trigonometry.

    + Ability to operate CNC machines efficiently.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Some college or technical school work is preferred.

    + Experience with aerospace, medical, or defense industries.

    + Familiarity with NL/NZX or NT/NM series machines.

    + Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

    + Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

    Our machine shop operates in a contract setting focusing on aerospace, oil and gas, and medical device manufacturing. The environment is fast-paced and requires precision, with occasional overtime during weekdays or weekends. We maintain a collaborative atmosphere where teamwork and independence are equally valued.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garden Grove, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
