    Description

    Qnity is seeking a Process Technician with an interest and experience in the manufacture of chemicals and materials, a keen eye for detail, and a strong passion for working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of material synthesis and manufacturing and be a critical part of the team manufacturing various specialty nanomaterials under the guidance of the senior scientists/or engineers. The incumbent’s contributions will directly impact Qnity’s product line and contribute to Qnity’s success as a world leader in silver nanowire technology.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Follow detailed instructions to run manufacturing operations for the production and purification of high quality silver nanowire products

    + Operate purification, blending, filtering, and other related manufacturing processes according to detailed standard operating procedures - be comfortable manually pouring large amount of chemicals while wearing full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including PAPR (Powered Air-Purifying Respirators) and flame-resistant coveralls

    + Record detailed operating parameters and collect relevant QC/QA data

    + Assist with safe handling of hazardous chemicals and gases

    + Provide input to the production team for process, quality, and capacity improvements

    + Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance tasks

    + Exhibit and upload safe working and housekeeping practices

    + Perform other work-related duties as assigned

    Requirements/Experience:

    + High School degree with 3+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing role or a bachelor’s degree in science or related fields with 1-3 years of experience.

    + Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, and mixers is a plus

    + Experience with reactor blending and processing is a plus

    + Commitment to excellence and high standards of attention to detail

    + Excellent organizational skills - able to record relevant data, properly label samples and document observations meticulously and clearly

    + Demonstrate ability to work both independently and as a team member in a multi-disciplinary environment

    + Ability to lift and handle weights up to 50 lbs.

    The Pay range for this role is $24.57 - $38.61 Hourly

Each role has an associated pay range (or an established pay rate for some roles) based on the competitive market in each country where we operate. Each individual’s pay is based on a variety of factors, including their role and the associated pay range for that role, their geographic location (i.e., country, state, metropolitan area), as well as their skills, experience, education and certifications, and performance.
