    Position Highlights

    Position Summary:

    To serve the spiritual and emotional needs of patients, family members, and staff. Is available in house or on-call to offer spiritual and emotional support.

    Work Schedule:

    Hours varied /flexible to meet patient/family, staff and hospital needs. Some weekend, holiday and call time involvement.

    Education/Experience:

    + Proof of ordination, licensure, or letter of support/endorsement from a local church/denomination/religious order is required

    + Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university accredited as a member of the Council for Higher Education ( www.chea.org ), Master’s degree in Divinity or equivalent or enrollment in an accredited seminary or graduate program is preferred

    + Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred

    + One year in healthcare, as Chaplain, preferred

    Licensure/Certification:

    None required.
