HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
A Test Technician works as part of the Assembly / Repairs Department. Performs repetitive duties to test and troubleshoot seals, and compile and record test results. Provides support to the assembly and repairs areas as required. This position requires safety shoes and shielded safety glasses. Reports to Assembly Supervisor or equivalent. Food and drinks are not allowed at work cells
The role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Execute and monitor product testing procedures to validate functionality and performance.
• Follow written and oral procedures, routings, blueprints, and build schedules to test precision assemblies.
• Maintain testing equipment and systems to ensure reliability and accuracy.
• Analyze test data, document results, and provide actionable insights for corrective actions or process enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve testing methods and overall product quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment consistent with clean-room practices.
• Work with minimal supervision; communicate technical issues with supervisors and Manufacturing Engineers, and interface with QC, Planners, and Machine Shop personnel to resolve day-to-day concerns.
• Utilize a variety of test equipment including leak detectors and test benches for high-speed rotation, vacuum/pressure, and torque testing.
• Initiate improvements to tooling, test fixtures, testing processes, and data collection by communicating recommendations to supervisors and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Use business software systems to execute routine job-related transactions and inquiries.
• Provide support and back-up to assembly and repair production areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned in the course of business.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
• 2+ years of experience as a Test Technician or similar technical role.
• Hands-on proficiency with testing and measurement equipment.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
Technical Skills
• Ability to operate standard testing tools, equipment, and software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and build instructions.
• Perform basic data analysis and evaluation of test results.
Soft Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new processes and technologies.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with automated testing systems.
• Experience with vacuum-related testing equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: • A typical day requires continuous sitting and/or standing in an office setting with occasional breaks. Standing and walking around 100k sq. ft. facility extensively throughout the day. • Able to comfortably lift 35 pounds without injury.
