The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating international and domestic transportation moves, providing reporting and visibility into freight spend, and ensuring proper freight payment to carriers.

This position reports to the VP, Global Logistics, and is part of the US Transportation team, located in Port Washington, New York. It will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Track and facilitate shipping orders for the Americas, manage freight payments, and help establish rules/standard work to improve processes.

+ Coordinate and provide rate quotes for expedited and oversized moves and analyze transportation reports to find opportunities for service and cost improvements.

+ Provide corrective and preventive actions for transportation service issues; ensure shipping instructions in SAP comply with corporate routing guides; track progress on freight recovery from customers; and provide visibility into requests for service upgrades/premium freight.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ 2 years’ experience + in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Import/Export

+ Knowledgeable regarding import/export/domestic shipping and documentation.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and SAP; knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for the role

+ Occasional travel – 2-4 visits annually to other Pall sites or vendors.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Claims management knowledge is preferable

+ Experience with Customs import filings and Export Documentation is a plus

The hourly range for this role is $32.00-$35.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
