    **Work Type:** Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)

    **Shift:** Shift 1

    **Work Schedule:** 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 AM)

    **Pay Range:** $52,416 - $58,968 per year

     

    Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.

    Summary:

    The Enterprise Risk Associate supports the development and implementation of business processes with the aim to identify, track, and mitigate risk across Rush. With guidance from the Executive Director of Risk and Technology, the Enterprise Risk Associate partners with our Enterprise Risk (ERM) and Legal / Government Affairs (L&GA) program teams to deliver on priority risk response initiatives. The Enterprise Risk Associate will identify and analyze risks, both externally or internally driven, to inform changes needed within current Rush processes and systems. As initiative plans are defined, the Enterprise Risk Associate will support the various aspects of implementation and define a structure to monitor ongoing risk exposure. These risk initiatives are complex and require strong communication and task management skills. Following implementation, the Enterprise Risk Associate will provide support and continue to explore opportunities to further optimize our risk strategies. The Enterprise Risk Associate exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

    Other information:

    Education and Experience

    • BS/BA degree

    • Experience either working or interning in healthcare or government affairs, preferred

    • Experience leading organizational or process change, preferred

    • Exposure to risk management or government policy, preferred

    Functional Skills

    • Ability to manage workload and timeline commitments.

    • Proactively seeks to communicate progress, align on expectations, and seek assistance when needed.

    • Communicates clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing.

    • Demonstrates an understanding of base project management topics.

    • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

    • Command of base data analysis skills including data gathering, performing analysis, and presenting findings.

    • Command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Outlook).

    • Proven ability to adjust to shifting priorities, work through ambiguity and respond to change.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in and support risk identification and assessment sessions across various parts of the organization

    • Routinely monitor key external risk topics, including significant government policy and industry changes

    • Apply enterprise risk methodologies to analyze and synthesize findings into risk impact summaries

    • Monitor value generating performance, risk, and control indicators to assess risk event impacts

    • Participates in the development and advancement of data analysis tools and practices

    • Inform and execute the ERM and L&GA programs roadmap to reach risk maturity milestones across Rush

    • Define, establish, and support the ongoing management of risk remediation initiatives

    • Maintain and update the ERM and L&GA platforms, and other applications

    • Participate in cross-functional stakeholder teams to complete risk remediation objectives

    • Prepare deliverables to cultivate a risk mindset and to illustrate risk management progress

    • Handles multiple assignments simultaneously, while proactively communicating on status and barriers
