Job Title: Production Operations Technician** **Job Description
As a Production Operations Technician, you will be responsible for coordinating various stages of product development including parts assembly, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping. You will be involved in a variety of manufacturing tasks such as assembling, operating both manual and automatic equipment, setting up machines, testing, and dismantling unit assemblies and complex subassemblies according to work process instructions. The role requires rotating among all stations within each assembly cell, performing repetitive work at a consistent pace to meet customer demands. Additionally, you must have the ability to repair final unit assemblies and complex subassemblies using power tools like pneumatic wrenches, drills, and torque guns.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate parts assembly, test, paint, package, and ship company products.
+ Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks including assembling, operating equipment, setting up machines, testing, and dismantling unit assemblies.
+ Rotate among all stations within each assembly cell to meet customer demands.
+ Repair final unit assemblies and complex subassemblies using power tools.
Essential Skills
+ 6 months prior production experience.
+ 6 months in an assembly-based position.
+ Ability to read, write, and understand instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Working knowledge of production, assembly, and automotive processes.
+ Experience with lube and technician tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
The work environment is a large manufacturing facility focusing on hydraulic components, where oil is used for lubrication. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, jeans, t-shirt, and gloves due to the nature of the products handled. The facility operates three shifts: 1st Shift (6 AM - 2 PM), 2nd Shift (2 PM - 10 PM), and 3rd Shift (10 PM - 6 AM).

This is a Contract position based out of AMES, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr.
