Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer / Concrete Picker to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction tasks, including handling concrete materials, site preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, and able to work in outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Load, unload, and move construction materials, including concrete forms and tools.

+ Assist in pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete surfaces.

+ Prepare work areas by cleaning debris and setting up necessary equipment.

+ Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely.

+ Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

+ Support skilled tradespeople as needed on-site.

+ Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials.

Qualifications:

+ Previous experience in construction or concrete work preferred but not required.

+ Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in varying weather conditions.

+ Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

+ Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

+ Knowledge of basic safety practices in construction environments.

Work Conditions:

+ Outdoor work in all weather conditions.

+ Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

+ May require overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
