Job Title: Production Worker - Entry

Job Description

The Operator I, Pultrusion is tasked with operating machinery and equipment to produce pultruded products according to specifications. This role involves setting up machines, monitoring the production process, performing quality checks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Operate machinery and equipment to produce pultruded products according to specifications.

+ Set up machines and monitor the production process.

+ Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards.

+ Troubleshoot issues that arise during production.

+ Perform routine maintenance on equipment.

+ Keep glass racks full and perform basic pultrusion machine operations.

+ Inspect finished products and set up the saw to cut to desired size.

Essential Skills

+ General production experience.

+ Experience as a Machine Operator.

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds several times a shift.

+ Ability to read a Tape Measure down to a 1/16.

+ 6 months of work history at the same job verified through references.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in lifting, packaging, assembly, picking, packing, and general labor.

Work Environment

The work environment includes constant standing, moderate to heavy lifting (20-50 pounds), and bending. Employees will be exposed to noise, dust, fiberglass, and resin chemicals due to the manufacturing process, although handling is not required. The team size consists of 5 people per cell, with 45 people on 1st shift, 45 on 2nd shift, and 35 on 3rd shift. Safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection are required. It is recommended to wear jeans and a long sleeve shirt due to exposure to fiberglass. The pultrusion hours are 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Overtime is available and may be mandatory at certain times of the year, subject to supervisor approval.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHATFIELD, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
