    Job Title: Incoming Inspector/QC** **Job Description

     

    As an Incoming Inspector/QC, you will be responsible for inspecting a wide variety of incoming materials, supplies, mechanical parts, and electronic components. You will follow a quality inspection procedure, blueprints, and sampling plans to ensure conformance to engineering and customer specifications and standards. Your work will involve performing visual and instrument inspections of incoming materials such as printed circuit boards, sheet metal, plastic, cable assemblies, machined parts, and similar products.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect parts for visual characteristics such as color, finish, flash burrs, and all dimensional requirements including height, width, depth, length, radius, weight, O.D., and I.D.

    + Utilize inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, continuity testers, go and no-go gauges, pin gauges, steel rulers, scales, and similar inspection tools.

    + Complete the First Article Inspection (FAI) form, working closely with Product Engineers and Quality Engineers to complete the Receiving Inspection FAI process as needed.

    + Complete the Supplier Non-Conforming Report (SNCR) form, collaborating with the Supply Chain, Product Engineers, and Quality Engineers to finalize the MRB disposition and completion of the SNCR process.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in incoming inspection and quality control.

    + Proficiency with dimensional measurement tools.

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, CMM, and optical comparators.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in incoming inspection and 5 years in quality control.

    + Strong attention to quality.

    + Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

    + Basic computer skills, including Excel and Word.

    + Basic math skills.

    Work Environment

    This position operates in a production environment, working with a team of 3-5 employees. The role is on the 1st shift, with working hours from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
