Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.

Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.

To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.

+ Performs exams based on patient anatomy and body habitus.

+ Displays a thorough knowledge of anatomy, positioning and of various isotopes utilized. Displays competencyinjecting isotopes, if required. Updates patient examination history file, records unusual conditions/limitations,documents examination time, room number and technique factors. Completes examination and billingprocedures as required.

+ Accurately marks all images with appropriate orientation and position. Assures that the patient information isclearly visible. Performs visual preventive safety inspections. Reports misadministration or isotope spills toappropriate personnel.

+ Adheres to federal and state regulations that govern Nuclear Medicine at all times. Stays abreast of regulatorychanges by attending mandatory competency evaluations, Physicist Education sessions, and other requirededucational courses.

Job Requirements

Required

+ Graduate from an AMA approved program of Nuclear Medicine Technology (minimum 1 year) and 1-3 years Two years of successful nuclear medicine technology practice, upon hire and

+ Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and

+ Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, upon hire or

+ Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire

Preferred

+ Bachelors Of Science, upon hire

Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. Pay Range

$37.40 - $55.63 /hour
