    Work Schedule: Days with Rotation to Nights Weekend and Holiday Rotation

    Hours:

    7:00am - 3:00pm, 3:00 - 11:00pm, & 11:00pm - 7:00am

    Summary:

    Operates, inspects, and maintains all boiler, heating, steam, hot water, ventilating, water treatment equipment, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, pneumatic tube system, systems of the hospital and its complex.

    Responsibilities:

    Education

    + High School diploma or GED

    + Must possess 1st class stationary engineer license

    + In lieu of a 1st class stationary engineer license, must possess a 2nd class stationary engineer license with the expectation of obtaining the 1st class stationary engineer license within 12 months from the date of hire.

    + Valid NYS drivers License

    Experience

    + Two (2) years power house

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Ability

     

    + Must posses a working knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems.

    + Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule forms or blueprints.

    + Ability to use all types of hand and power tools.
