Job Title: Bioprocess Technician
Job Description
Perform duties associated with aseptic processes, weighing, measuring, counting, calculations, sampling, and verifications required for biological production processes in accordance with batch production records (BPR) and in compliance with current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) standards, all current safety standards and site procedures. Possess a basic knowledge in fermentation, centrifuge, concentration units, and biological organisms. Understand the basic operation of production equipment and ensure all equipment, instruments, and production materials are released and available for use.
Responsibilities
+ Look up and perform transactions within the electronic inventory management system.
+ Oversee production processes, cleaning, environmental monitoring, and personnel.
+ Perform in-process batch quality checks per the written procedures.
+ Follow safety rules, wear appropriate safety equipment, and maintain proper safety practices at all times.
+ Utilize basic computer skills to create and update standard operating procedures, write deviation reports, and complete all assigned training.
+ Generate or collect new ideas about workplace and processes.
+ Read and interpret batch records, quality, and safety documents.
Essential Skills
+ Basic knowledge of aseptic technique, fermentation, bioprocessing, and sterile processing.
+ Understanding of biological organisms and quality documentation.
+ Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma required.
+ AAS or BA in Biotechnology or a related scientific field preferred.
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting preferred.
+ Basic computer skills.
Work Environment
The role requires working on the production floor, overseeing batches and their quality. Responsibilities include working with fermentation systems, vessels, centrifuges, and other large-scale production systems. The shift hours are 2nd shift: 2:30PM-10PM. You will receive benefits such as paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Dodge, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
