• Development Engineer

    Actalent (Vance, AL)


    + Support the analysis and understanding of production and field issues.

    + Correct BoM issues and updates.

    + Analyze and find countermeasures for functional and EE issues.

    + Prepare and execute engineering changes, including issuing EC, KEM, and Smaragd updates.

    + Find part substitutions and short-term deviation solutions, and create and drive PDR.

    + Manage fasteners topics and prepare documentation for meetings.

    + Handle miscellaneous tasks such as writing purchase requisitions and orders.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in parts development and liaison engineering.

    + Experience in supplier development and automotive seating.

    + Proficiency in VDA standards, engineering change management, and BoM.

    + Strong project management and supplier quality skills.

    + Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in automotive seating.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 5-10 years of automotive seating engineering experience.

    + Experience with plastic trims/covers (mainly BR 167), rim covers, and foams.

    + Ability to support structure changes, with the main lead being another team in Germany.

    This is a Contract position based out of Vance, AL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $59.00 - $59.00/hr.
